My male, Dingus is kindof like that, he just goes along being his own self, 
running around, jumping off the furniture. He doesn't care at all about 
punishment but when he wants to snuggle he is right there with us..however 
after a few min he gets up and lies down by himself...quite a bit different 
from the female who loves to lie on top of us and is very sensitive!
