Cesar had a beautiful long baby coat at 10 weeks of age, then a few weeks
later, without seeing heavy shedding, he started losing his coat. For the next
couple of months, he looked like a short coat Chihuahua. I was worried because
neither the breeder, the vet, nor the books I bought mentioned losing the coat.
Finally, I bought a second hand book that mentioned that some "blow coat" and
when I asked on this list, someone also mentioned it. By 6 months, the hair
started growing back. He now has longer hair but the vet said he will probably
be a year old (February) before he has his full coat.
