Claudia Your story reminds me of my mom who got a yorkie last year and refused to cook for it insisting she'd give it dog food (her vet told her thats best!).
Of course when I came over (I'm four hours away so when I go to see her its for a few days at least) with my Henry, all dog food bets were off. I just cooked for both of them easy enough and fair. I mean come onwhat dog would?eat? dry food while someone else had fresh beef or chicken? That would be mean. My mom (who does not get about great) had just lost her 2nd husband (of 20 years). She was so delighted how her dog loved my food that she still feeds that way. Though now and again she will curse me for making extra work. But it really helps her. For awhile before she got the dog she would not get out of bed or even want to cook for herself. Now she has to get up for her baby and cooks lots of meals that involve her eating some variation of the dog's meal. Like she'll make a chicken with no seasonings and pull off his portions then season it up for herself. Feeding this Yorkie, for that matter, loving him, is saving my mom and lengthening her life. I had to share this with you as I loved your post...sorry to be a wordy gerdy! best, michelle and henry in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, NY -----Original Message----- From: claudiawrnr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, 23 Oct 2007 5:48 pm Subject: [Chihuahuas] Just nssd to tell When i was making the Dogs food today i remember some.I was 20 when my mom ask me if i could watch her Yorky abaut 5 pounds,i told her yes. When she give me the dog she also give me a list how to mix her food a littel of this a littel of that.Cocked frech dayly. After that week i told myself, that i will never do that again. Now her i am feeding 4 chis just like that every day ,now for 3 j and loving every min of it.By the way the 2 chis i rescute are doing verry well.Hat to tell someone.Hope thats ok.God bless Claudia ________________________________________________________________________ Email and AIM finally together.
