At first, I used the pads for Cesar. However, since I still work part-time and there would be days when he would be alone all day, I bought a litter box for Cesar to use because I didn't want the odor from the pads soaking into the floor. I used the litter they sell to go in the box but he tried to eat it and made such a mess, that I ended up throwing it away and lining the box with newspaper (that I had smeared the urine from the pad on). He used it immediately. I now have two boxes, one in his corral and one in the den that he can use when hes out. Eventually, (when he stops getting into puppy troubles, like chewing on dangerous things and getting stuck behind furniture), I hope to be able to take down the corral and just use the one box. However, he will only be free to roam in the den and not throughout the house. Gloria
