I live in Ky...a rural part of KY. I am keeping a close eye on the pup and it is fine. I am gonna worm it tomorrow just in case it has worms. As soon as it is ready to leave momma, I will have to try to find a home...which will not be easy around here........

I know several rescues in NC/SC that can help place the pup in a foster home until he/she is old enough to find a home. I agree you shouldn't leave a little pup out alones especially if you live out in the country. There are too many things that could prey on such a little guy.
