Well, I just recently joined this group, and now I accidentally sent an
e-mail that was supposed to be to a friend of mine. How on earth did I do
that?

Now that you've seen Caesar, I'll tell you a little about us.

We live in Ga., and my daughter and I volunteer with a local rescue
group, fostering dogs in our home (one at a time) and helping at adoptions on
Saturdays.

Caesar (est. 3 yrs.) came to us after his owner died. The police called
the family, and they said to send Caesar to the pound. (I have no idea how
long Caesar was left alone with his dead owner.) The kind police officer
couldn't do that, so she started calling rescue groups, trying to get someone
to take him. My director ended up with him, and when the dog I was fostering
got adopted, the director asked me to take Caesar. Silly me! I thought this
would be no problem, as my hubby and I weren't the least bit fond of
Chihuahuas. My 13 yr. old DD, however, has always wanted a small dog.

Well, Caesar came in and made himself right at home. He got along with
my two lab/mixes (although I'm not quite sure they belive he's a real dog), and
became such an instant part of the family, that my hubby said there was no way
we could part with him!
To which I replied, "All the nice dogs we've fostered, and you want to
keep the crazy one?"

We officially adopted Caesar on 7/7/07 and we absolutely adore him!
(Didn't plan it that way, but it does seem like a lucky date!)

We've been through one obedience class, where Caesar got the award for
Most Improved Terrorist.

I was looking at this list, and e-mailed Gloria, because I saw she had a
Cesar, too!

Now, I have 3 dogs, and a foster (an 85 lb hound that gets along well
with everyone), as well as a parakeet. We had a guinea pig that died of old
age recently, and we are adopting another (from a rescue) soon.

I will try not to bombard you with photos, but I warn you that this is
one photogenic boy!! Here's a couple more in his lovely sweater that my 13
year old knit for him! (Ok, I'll stop now.)

I have enjoyed seeing the photos here as well as going through the files.
