Denise,
You would probably be better off having the leg amputated. A dog can do great
with three legs, but a useless leg will just cause it problems. But until you
make a decision, I would sew some strips of socks. Take an old sock and sew up
several strips and cut them out so it is basically like a sock in pup size.
Take it all the way up. I had to do this with Dora when she broke her leg in
order to keep the cast clean. I would take an old man's sock and sew from the
foot all the way up to the top...for Dora it was about a half inch strip. Judge
what size this baby needs. Then since it is a pup and likely to walk in poop
ect right now, you may also want to cut the finger off of a latex glove and
cover the foot of the sock with that. Don't cover the whole sock because it
needs to breath. And make sure it isn't too tight :-)

Her name is Skye she is an American Pit Bull. She is only 3wks old.I got her
early because her mommy was trying to wean her early. And her lil friend is
Nathaniel one of the babies who was cut on.....He only has 3 feet but you cant
tell it when he is up walking around but it does tend to make his nub raw.You
can see his foot (nub) in the pic of him and Skye.I have a question ....What
can I put on his nub to keep it from getting so raw now....it has healed up but
it does get raw?
