Alot of people think if the pups are no longer nursing and eating on their own that it's ok to let them go. But they should still be able to interact with the mother to learn the skills that Claudia mentioned below. 8 to 12 week old pups really learn alot in those few weeks. It's so easy to pick out the pup that left too early. They are so much more well adjusted when left with mom a few more weeks. Pam
