Sounds like your baby is trying to protect you. He doesn't realize that hubby
is not trying to hurt you. First, I would ask hubby to cut back on the pretend
hits because it is only natural for a dog to want to protect his master, rather
they be a great Dane or a tiny chi. As for the loving, have hubby to spend some
time being lovy toward the chi too. Let the chi knows he means no harm. Sounds
to me like your baby truly thinks he is trying to harm you. When he does try to
bite hubby, YOU need to be the one to correct him, not hubby, because he
already thinks hubby is "mean". If you correct him it lets him know that all is
ok and that YOU don't have a problem with hubby, but do have a problem with
chi, he may see that hubby is "ok". There are ways to break an agressive chi,
but from your story, it doesn't really sound like you have an aggressive chi,
but that you have a protective one. It also sounds like maybe hubby "started"
it, but pretending to hit you.
