Designer Dogs cannot be registered correct??They are also not recognized by
AKC, CKC etc right?

What is the deal with these "designer" dog breeds??? Why are people
taking two beautiful pure bred dogs and mix breeding them, then
charge an arm and leg for a mix breed? If you want a "designer" dog
there are more then enough of them at the local shelters, rescue
groups, etc. Eveyday mix breed dogs are being put down... does there
really need to be another reason to have more and more dogs being
turned over to these shelters. Can you believe there are over 150 so
called designer breeds right now!?! I truly believe it is just
another scam for people to make a quick buck. I just don't understand
what happen to the "love of a breed"?
Personal, as many of you know, I am a Chihuahua lover. I believe they
are a wonderful breed and do not need any changes. Do people really
need to charge 400-700 for a Chiweenies? Chipoo? Chi-Chon?
As you can tell this really upsets me... not just because I have a
love for Chihuahuas but also because there are enough dogs out there
that need homes without people breeding more and more.
I just want to say.. I am not writing this to upset anyone, so please
do not take it that way.. I would never want to start anything that
woudl cause issues or tension amoung our wonderful group. I am just
wanting others thoughts so maybe I can understand better.
