I Am Somebody!
Years ago when I used to go out with my friend Bernardine for
iced cream at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor, we would walk by a sign that said
"Nobody is a Nobody Here." What a wonderful sign! All my life I have heard one
person or another berated for one reason or another and here that would not be
tolerated. We were all SOMEBODY! I hope that my students feel that they are
treated as they are somebody. I hope they know any other treatment would not be
tolerated. But that does mean that we all have to live by the same rules. We
have to work together with respect and compassion. Will you help me do that?
