My name is Mary and I am from Missouri and have a little girl chi named
Tia-Roha who is guessed to be just under 2 yrs old by my vet. I got her
from the pound as she was found wandering the streets and no one
claimed her. I have been a member for a couple of months now, and I'm
sorry that I havent posted before now but I do enjoy reading all the
posts. What really caught my notice was the posts about chi's doing
strange things. My Tia , when we go to bed, the first thing she does is
get a peice of the comforter and sucks on it like she is nursing, using
her paws too, just like how puppies nurse! It's funny cause it can't be
the sheet or the blanket just the comforter. If I try to move her or
make her stop she just continues on, giving me a nasty look! then when
she's done she crawls under the blanket and goes to sleep. I know this
has to be some kind of comforting behavior and thought it might stem
from perhaps being taken away from her mom to soon when she was a baby ?
Other than that she loves to lick snow when we had it here.
