I'm glad your Baby girl is doing good.A lot of states will not let you have a
dog in the back of the truck anymore without proper restrain.I think this is a
good idea.I seen a dog i Colorado jump of the back of a truck and get run
over.I could not event think about putting Brutus and sissy in the back of a
truck one little wind and they would fly out.We hat dog crates in the back of
our truck for our Rottweilers.

Trust in the Lord with all your Heart
God bless you all

Sorry it took so long for a reply.
This has been a busy couple of weeks.

Well, what happened was that Molly wanted to ride in the back of my truck with
her brother Sampson. She went nuts and would not stop barking. So my fiance
decided to put her back there. I told him no at first, but he said she would be
ok, and I figured we weren't going that far.

She was doing fine, low enough so that the wind wouldn't catch her, and I sped
up. At that point I felt uncomfortable and decided to put her back inside. So I
started to pull to the side of the road and at that point I heard her howl and
get up onto the tailgate and with the wind and her jumping she flew out.

She landed head first and we thought she was dead.  The scene was just
horrible! I started crying and so did my fiance but he got out and went to pick
her up. He said that when he got to her, her neck was all weird and he was sure
she was dead. Then,  she howled and from the truck I saw her just jump up and
head across the road.  We had to run a good while after here. Finally she came
to me (I called her Baby girl, that's what we call her when she's done
something good, and she stopped and headed back to me) and we rushed her to the
Vet.

He told us that she should be dead. At the speed we were going and her barely
weighing 5lbs, that she shouldn't be here. But she had no broken bones,  no
internal problems, just a few road burns(that are healing nicely and almost all
covered), and a bit of a concusion.

We are so so very lucky. We both feel so stupid for letting her in the back,
and it will never be done again. She rides with us in the front. At first I
thought her personality would be affected by this, but she's back to being
herself. Still has one of the biggest attitudes I know. LOL! She's amazing, and
our little miracle. We're taking a lot more precaution with her, and being a
lot smarter.
