After almost losing my dear Ashlee too it. I make sure that my dogs get it. They always get the injections. I don't have family to watch them and if my dear friend, Diane, isnt available then they have to go to the kennel. She always brings her mini doxies with her when she comes to take care of them so another reason for them to have it. I wont take the chance.
