Hi Claudia~~~I think it's great that you're taking care of the cat. I also know
it can get very expensive. As most of you know here in the group...I volunteer
for a local humane society and I have a lot of cats dumped on me. One time I
woke up and there were FIVE new cats on my deck! Someone dumped them here in
the middle of the night. I have garage sales here at my house and people caught
on that I volunteer for the humane society and that's when they started dumping
them here...besides...people talk and I have an idea some of them come from
people I know. I can't take in anymore. I DO take care of the ones outside...I
feed them dry food ...it's always down...I make sure they have fresh
water...even in the winter...they have LOTS of "cat house" out side...with
clean straw...and shelter from the wind in the winter...I give them canned food
once in a while...when I can afford it..but they always get left over from
dinner...so they are well taken care of. I get them medical care when they need
it too. There are two that actually live here outside...I never see them
leave...which is fine...at least I know they are being cared for. But there are
plenty more that come by to eat...get a drink of water...or lay in the shade.
MY cats...are not allowed outside. Unless I carry them or have them in Sox's
pet stroller. I'm very picky about my "babies". They get the best care and are
spoiled rotten. For Easter this year they got a huge kitty condo. It's a
little over 6 feet tall and 52" wide. They also have 2 other smaller ones...a
little over 4 foot...and right around 4 foot...kitty tunnels...beds...hide a
ways...and tons of toys! Plus they get on the big kitty condo and get on top of
our wall unit...they are my "brat cats"
But anyway Claudia...I'm glad you are such a loving, caring person. I hope your
little cat buddy gets well and is with you for a long time!~~~Sharon
