Subject: [Chihuahuas] Terrible Scare
This morning about 3 am I woke up and Belle was lying next to me. She
and my other chi, Daisy sleep with my husband and I, but they both sleep up
next to me. Belle always lies right up against my side Well I often reach over
at night to check on them(After having six kids I'm use to sleeping light) This
morning I felt Belle as she was sleeping next to me and something seemed wrong.
I sat up and she was lying on her back and didn't move after I shook her.The I
picked her up and she was completely limp ,her head and 4 legs hung down
lifeless. I started to panic and pulled her face close to mine and said,
"Belle, Belle" and she softly licked me I started to cry. I don't know if she
happened to be in a deep deep sleep??? I've heard the term of a dog "playing"
dead. Well from 3am-6am I lied there wit my hand on her chest feeling her
breath My husband never woke up.I don't know if dogs just get in a very deep
sleep or what happened?? I just Thank God for my Belle
