I don't have any plans on breading her. Don't even know a boy Chihuahua. I was just amazed at how swollen she got. It doesn't seem to bother her though so I guess I shouldn't worry. She is always inside, so she is safe. Thanks for the input.:) ~Carol Ps: She is really growing. I'm amazed everyday at how smart she is. I say go to bed and every night she runs and gets into her crate and waits for her carrot lol. Its really cute. I'm sad she has lost her puppy face. She now looks like a big girl. -------Original Message------- From: ~Mare~ Date: 7/30/2008 9:40:21 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] Fiona is in Heat Carol I am sorry I am so late in posting but since I bred Fiona's parents I feel like I should say a few words. First I breed them you know that. Then..........Fiona's mom will bled 5 to 7 days and then it's a small clear discharge. There is one week to come in(bleeding stage) One week in( when she is very receptive to being bred) One week to go out and then the swelling will go down GRADUALLY. It won't happen overnight. We breed her Mother on the 11th day. Be sure and write it down on the calendar for your records. Fiona is in heat, how long will this last? The bleeding isn't bad at all. I have only see 1 drop. I put a few towels on our couch and it has done the trick. Any tips? Also she chewed up her harness any tips on stopping that, or has anyone found a good one that they can't chew? Thanks. ~Carol
