My Rottweiler always got along with all dogs. But like i sad you have to socialize them as early as possible.Rottweilers are also a slow grower it takes a Rottweiler 3 years to be full grow-en and they should stay with mom to there are 12 weeks old not like most big breeds were can be separated from mom at 8 weeks like the German shepherd. But there is always some that are diverend that's Way i do not believe in backyard breeding. With all breeds you have to know what your doing.Anybody can breed but only selective people now what they doing and breed good dogs. That's Way there are so many sick and unstable dogs out there.I also know without breeders i would not have my 2 adorable Chihuahuas. God bless you Brutus,Sissy and Claudia

Especially if they are raised together. That's why I said "some" can't be trusted with other dogs. But mainly with strange dogs, not one of their "family". If a fight does arise, it's typical for a Pit not to back down. And they are very powerful, as everyone knows. Rotties, on the other hand, are not a terrier breed, so I think most do well with other dogs if raised right. I think Pits and Rottweilers are gorgeous dogs but I guess because of their size and power, we have to be very careful with them when around strange dogs. But you have to keep in mind that pit bulls ARE terriers just like Fox Terriers, Jack Russells, etc. Terriers are known to be "iffy" with other dogs. I have even seen breeders' websites and Bully-Breed (Pit bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs and so on) books that warn against taking them to dog parks or having them around other dogs. They are generally good with people but some can't be trusted around others dogs, no matter how they are raised. It's in their blood. Though there are always exceptions.. Tia gets along just fine with my friends Pits.. But I always watch them closely.. We had a chi in our neighborhood killed by a pit last year and my friends MinPin was also killed by a Pit. Now Rotties definitely have a bad rep.. We have two in our neighborhood and they are lovely dogs as are all but one I have met. I wish I could say the same thing about Pits which abound in our neighborhood. So Even though my yard is fenced, the only time Tia is ever out without me is if my Lab is out there too. Like I said in a previous post is uber protective of her. And Tia has a big mouth. She doesn't think anyone should walk down her street if she is in the yard .. Let alone come in the driveway.. I have large dogs on the other side of my fence and they are like Cujo when they see Kiko. She too runs over and jumps up and barks wildly in retaliation. I stop them immediately. If that dog would ever get over to our side Kiko would be gone in one bite. I would never let Kiko be around them intentionally. Too many chances of an accident. The picture is cute though. ----- Original Message ---- From: SharonK <[EMAIL PROTECTED] l.net> To: Chihuahuas <[EMAIL PROTECTED] ups.com> Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2008 4:21:12 PM Subject: [Chihuahuas] Katie's "friend" Here's a pic of Katie's "friend."
