My suggestion for anyone who's chi is facing surgery, of any kind, is don't
leave the vet's office without some pain pills. When Cesar was neutered, I
asked for and got pain pills, I gave him one right before he went to sleep and
didn't have to give him another but I was comforted by the fact that I had
some if he needed them.

I know you hurt as much as she if not more.Dog's heal quicker than we are.15
years ago I hat A Rottweiler that hat to have Hip surgery. And i remember her
crying for the first 7day's she was so pitifully. But then it got better
every day.I know it is hart to put ice on a chi they hate the cold. The
exercise
is good for her but also make the swelling worse.I remember that from my
Owen shoulder operation i hat pins and a plate in my Arm.They give her some
for
the Pain ?I wish there was some i could do for you and her.But i will pray
for a speedy recovery

We had some highs and lows today.
The low having her cry in pain because of the way she moved I think. It
hurt me as much as it hurt her i'm sure.
The high, she finally had a poopie and she got up on her own and did a
little walk around her bed.
She has swelling on the right leg, especially the lower leg, although
she insists on lying on that side. I made a smaller, more fluid and
softer ice pack today in the hopes it would be easier to apply. But I'm
finding it very challenging to use. Any suggestions?
I picked up a natural cream for her razor burn that smells nice and
won't make her sick if she licked it.
She seems almost depressed tonight, or else she's sore from moving
around earlier. Someone please tell me it will get easier/better? !
