Thanks, Claudia. I have many people tell me he doesn't "look" like a
Chihuahua and I know what they mean, your short coat babies are what people
think
of when they visualize a Chihuahua but he's very much one.

I don't remember the weight of the parents, but I saw them and they were not
as big as Cesar is. The weight was the guess of the breeder who has been
breeding for 30 years. Cesar's legs are not long, and he has dainty paws, so
he's not very tall. But, the length of his body is long and I think that's
what makes him heavier but in no way can he be called fat. He also has a
beautiful and delicate head, ears, and eyes.

What were his parents' weights? How did you know he was supposed to chart
out at 5 lbs? Just curious.

My Cesar was suppose to chart out at 5 lbs but at 17mos he weighed 8 lbs at
the last vet visit and probably weighs 9 lbs by now.

I would like to get a tiny one, too. But I have 2 larger dogs at home.
Gizmo will be about 6 pounds full grown. The tiny ones are too delicate but
ARE
 adorable!

Yes, they do grow quickly, makes you miss your puppy. That's why I want a
tiny one.

Here is a pic of my Gizmo. He is now 5 months old. Time flies so fast! I
feel like I just got him and now he is growing out of his puppy stage. They
grow up too fast, don't they? He did a good job posing for the camera
today. He's such a good boy.
