From my personal experience, I think that anyone who has a dog of any size should always have Nutri-Cal or VitaCal on hand. It's a must for small dogs. You can get it at Pet stores, but I buy VitaCal from Drs. Foster and Smiths web site. Same thing as Nutr-Cal, just cheaper. It is a vitamin, mineral and calorie supplement that is like a pastey maple syrup. It is fantastic for dogs who are ill or recovering and even if they just aren't eating right. It is very easy to get them to eat and they seem to really like it. I have had many occassions where I was so glad that I had it on hand. A neighbor had a puppy that they were trying to save from Parvo, I gave them a tube and it really helped nourish the pup. Happily he survived the ordeal. I have used it after spaying or nuetering, when they just don't feel up to par. I give it to Libby, my little Chi, when I don't feel that she's eating enough and also to Scooter when she isn't eating as well as I like, because she's 15 years old, she is missing some teeth and even though she gets wet food, sometimes she doesn't seem interested. My sister-in-law used it when her older Bishon had a tooth pulled and understandably didn't want to eat. I first started keeping it on hand when we got Pop, our little poodle boy, because I had heard about small dogs often having problems with low blood sugar. I swear by it and will never be without it.

Her sugar might be low....that has happen to my Mliey a couple of times ... I give her a little bit of yogurt and that helps...she is back to normal in less than 30 mins.  I would take her to the vet and have a blood test done as soon as possible to see if she has low blood sugar.
