Poor baby.We all try to do our best but sometimes it is not the right think to do.It was not your fouled at all.I 100% understand that you canceled the appointment.I would have to.I never forget the Morning we tuck Gypsy to the Vet she was shacking so badly she could not hold herself up so at 8.30 am We were sitting at the Vet and she was out that day at a conference.So the Vet tech called the other Vet in town and told them what was going on and that she don't know what was going on.Gypsy was 5lb,They told her they hat an opening at 3.30pm.So we rushed her to a Vet in the next town 30 min away.We got there at 10am.She past away at 12am.The Vet sad if we could got her there earlier she would of made it.She hat a sugashock.Back then I did not know that Chis can have sugar.I would never take any of my Animals to him..Gypsy was the first small Chi my vet ever hat to deal with 7 years ago.When we got Sissy and i tuck her over there she ask were Gypsy was and i told her what happen.She was told that I was there with her that morning but she did not know the outcome.She was very upset.So yeas some Vets only care about the money.The Vet i hat to take Gypsy to was also very upset that the other vet in town would not look at her that morning it was an Emergency

I had bought Bio-Spot for my cats last summer. It was on sale for a really good price. When it arrived it seemed the amount of meds in each dose was excessive compared to other flea meds I'd used and I didn't like the way it made their fur look like someone had put hair gel on it. But I paid for it so I was determined to use it up and not waste the money. Lucius had lost a chunk of hair on the back of his neck. I was pretty sure it was because I'd changed his food from Science Diet Low Allergy to the Chicken Soup For Cat Lovers food. He has food allergies, but darned if I can figure out which ingredients he's allergic to besides mostly dairy (milk, eggs, yogurt). So I switched him back to the SDLA and when it came time to put on a new application of flea meds I put it on the spot where he'd lost fur figuring it'd be easier than trying to hold him and separate his fur by myself. A day later he didn't seem to act himself. He was really quiet and sleepy and wanted alot of attention. That is so not him! He only gives/wants attention on his terms. So when he gets like that I know something is wrong. I had his yearly check-up in two days so I thought I'd wait and hope he got better. If he didn't I planned on talking with the vet about it. I assumed his lethargy had to do with the original loss of fur from a week earlier and that he was getting worse with one problem. Lucius didn't get better and unfortunately when I took him for his yearly check-up it was with a brand new vet I'd switched to in order to try to save money. Big Mistake. While 'nice' the vet didn't take me seriously and I had to suggest to her what might be wrong with him. Like bugs or something related to his food allergies, etc. When I left the office and got home I was in tears. He was sick and getting worse and she acted like I was overreacting. So I took him back to my old vet. I'd always trusted them and they'd always treated my pets like they were their own. I'd only left because they were on the expensive side and now that we had Jaelyn I wasn't sure we could afford to stay with them. Dr Schroepe looked him over and asked me a bunch of questions. One of them was if I'd given him flea meds recently and what brand it was. I hadn't considered that part of the problem at all. But I told her yes and it was Bio-Spot. After some more tests she came back and told me he was having a toxic reaction to the flea meds. Even more so because I'd put it directly on the skin instead of on the fur where it would've been diluted somewhat. She told me that she's had quite a few patients in with toxic poisoning due to Bio-Spot and highly recommended I never use it again. She gave him a shot of steroids (I think it was) and I told her I'd throw away the remaining doses I had. By the time we got home I could tell he was starting to improve. At least enough to sit up and show interest in the scenery when I pulled into the driveway. It took a couple days before he was back to himself. I called the new vet and cancelled my appointment for the check-up of the other two kitties and made an appointment at the old vets for them. I'm angry with myself over the whole deal. At this point I don't care how much our old vet costs, when it comes to the safety of our family they're the only ones I trust 100% to keep them healthy.
