You need to try teaching her at home the comand sit and then stay.If you check
last week post Sharon send very good instruction on that if you can't find it.I
think i have them there easy to follow.Let me know ore ask Sharon and Katie to
resend them to you.She is better in training chis than me.I traind big dogs and
still learning with my rugrats. You may want to put her in a crade in the car.I
do.I hat a mix puppy in my lap a lond time ago and we got hit the puppy hit the
Windshild the puppy was hurt but fine the puppy also was araund 15lb.If that
would be Sissy ore Brutus that would of been a diverent story. So please get a
crade for the car.You can also try to put her in the car with out going anywere
and teach her to sit and than only let her out on the word come.Brutus and
Sissy get out of the crade they wait for me to pick them up i do not alow them
to jump at all out of the car.I think that is the best way.

God bless you Brutus,Sissy and Claudia

Claudia,
Maybe you or others could help me with another problem Kiko and I are having.
When we stop the car she hurries to get out. She bounds across Tim or I. We
grab her and she wiggles almost out of our arms. I do not know how to teach her
to "settle" in any instance. What do you suggest.? I don't know what to do with
her. She is uncontrollable in this situation.

On the other hand. When she and I pull into the driveway, I say "Wait For
Grandma" and she sits and waits for me to tell her when to get out.

Thanks

You are not crazy.I leave the TV on for them. You need to try to stop her befor
she get worse.Brutus started grouling at Bruce a fwe month ago.Bruce was not
abel to come close to me.Every time hi done it i got up and worked away.Hi
slowly learnd that if hi grouls i don't want him around.Brutus is in my lap
everytime i have my friends kids.Hi is scared of them  and feels save in my lap
hi knows nobody hurt him in my arms.Kiko is trying to be the boss and you need
to try to stop her.Niw I know a lot of chis are scared of children running and
screaming they think they get hurt.I can't plam them I would be to if I was
that smal.So I let Brutus sit in my lap when children come over.Sissy goes to
the bedroom and hides in the bed.

God bless you Brutus,Sissy and Claudia

Hi Pat,
I cannot find the post that you had written so I will start over with this.
About Tia being possessive. Kiko is extremely possessive of Tim when he is
here. If he holds my hand, hugs me, talks to me, she is RIGHT THERE growling.
She sits under his chair at dinner, follows every step  he takes. I thought
that it would be good to get another dog so she would be busy with something
else. Then I thought, what if she gets jealous and depressed. When the
grandkids come over she sits right by me and wants to be in on all that is
going on. If we go anywhere she wants to go.
I did get a dog cd for her. It was made by a  psychoacoustician, dog
behaviourist, and veterinary neurologist that has studied the subject of effect
of sound waves on dogs.  I put it on when we are gone, when in Motel rooms,
storms, company over, etc.
Call me crazy. ,  My grandkids do.
Best,   Diana
