My Aussie, Twister, gained weight after he got neutered. He didn't gain real fast though, it took him a while. The vet told me to cut back on his food and treats. I did and, after about a year of reducing his food intake, he is finally at a good weight. He has hip dysplasia so he can't do too much in the form of exercise. I think that's another reason he gained weight. But I did notice it started after him being fixed. It happens to a lot of dogs, but not all. They all have different metabolisms like we do. Stefanie
