I totally understand all of the concern about giving out your personal
information. I trust the people that have my info. They are not going to
announce it online, put it in a publication, or give it to just anyone who
asks. It is just contact information. And although there are many members on
this group, there are only a handful that participate regularly and those would
be the ones that we would be more concerned about being able to contact in an
"emergency". The others are usually just looking for answers to questions that
they have about their chi and then forget about this group, even though they
remain a member. You give out more damaging information to a stranger on a job
application, a layaway contract, a credit application, etc. A name, phone, and
address given privately to someone isn't going to be that comprimizing. Heck,
you can get that much information on anyone that you make a transaction with on
eBay!
The bottom line is this: you are not obligated to share any information about
yourself with anyone in this group, and nobody will be offended if you don't.
The main purpose of this group is to share information about our chihuahuas. If
you feel comfortable privately sharing personal information with another in
this group, that is ok, too. It is a personal choice that each person must make
for themselves, and not a requirement to be a part of the group.
Now, to quote the famous Forest Gump:
"And, that's all I have to say about that."
(Stepping down from the soapbox now) LOL
