its always good to do your own research. I use young living oils. And they have 
a product called lavaderm. It's a spray, and I use it on my face, plus I've 
used it on each of my pups after surgery. It helps speed up the healing 
process, and takes the itch away. Plus they wont lick, because its not to 
yummy. if you have lavender oil you could mix it with water, and use a nice 
sprayer, it will give you close to the same effect. Plus its very relaxing.
