Greetings all;
I've yet to post to the group, so for me this, today is a first.
First, Mare, may the Goddess give you peace as she watches over Buddy
as he takes his journey to a final place of rest. You gave Buddy a
good life while he was in your care. For that you should feel proud.
I, like so may others have seen our loved creatures leave a lot
sooner than we'd have liked. The best we can is feed them, house them
and love them. You've done that for Buddy as you continue to do for
all of your animals, as you will continue to do.
Most of my animals here are rescues. Crystal, the mini rex rabbit
came from Ohio with my then fiancé. She's old and I know one day I
won't be feeding and watering her and trimming her nails, which she
detests, but will only me to do. Galileo, our maroon belly conure is
the only non-rescue in the house. Blaze and Annubis are the children
of Shadow. Shadow and Lynx, Blaze's other kitten, disappeared into
the wilds of El Centro when they went with my daughter. Ginger is our
short haired toy Chihuahua. Ginger came to us when she was handed to
my wife, the woman told my wife, " take this dog or she'll be dead".
Ginger's litter of pups was not with her, She was obviously nursing.
We never found her pups. Ginger is somewhat confused, as are Blaze,
Annubis and Blazes kittens, Cleopatra and Twisty. None of them can
decide who's a cat, and whose a dog. Cleo and Twisty are kittens of
Blaze, who got out to "cat" around and came home pregnant. Twisty was
a difficult breach birth; her back legs were broken at the knees, are
nerveless and face the wrong direction. She's just a little slower
than her sister. The one child still under our roof is our autistic
daughter. For her, the animals have been a wonderful therapy. She
interacts daily with the kittens and dog, who have helped her grow. I
wander
For all of you and Mare, may the Goddess give you peace and you
mourn, for Buddy, all those we've loved and lost, and all too soon
will lose again.
Blessed Be; John
