Hi Pat. Gimzo started loosing his baby coat around 4 months, too. Then he went through the "puppy uglies" for about a month or so. He is 7 months old and his coat is just starting to come in thick, soft and shiny. His father had a very full, thick coat and he will probably have one too when he is older. I have heard, for full coats, it can take up to 2 years for them to fill out. Do you have a picture of Nitro? Stefanie

I had wondered how long it took for the LC Chi to get its full coat. Nitro is 4 months old and apparently losing his baby hair right now. His tail and his ears are long though. He's got the compact, square-type body with short legs. He's not expected to get much bigger. In fact, he hasn't really grown much at all in a couple of months. His coat is starting to fill out, though. It's coming in nice and thick. > > Stefanie
