What a beautiful little boy. He's blessed to have you and your wife care
for him. You're a brave couple, as I look around me, I realize that raising
children in this day and age is not easy. It's never been easy but it does
seem to be even harder now.

Greetings Group:
For the record I am against moderating the group. The work necessary is not
needed for the minimum of spamming going on. I moderate two adult groups that
require permission to join and permission to post multiple postings. By that
I mean it goes to my group and several other adult groups. This takes work
on my part, but it is necessary to run an adult group in Yahoo. This is not an
Adult group, but we are all adults in this group. That is proven by you all
and your actions. I can not believe how well mannered this group is. I am
deeply invested in a Yahoo group involving our attempts to save the Salton
Sea.
People there have this attitude that they can say anything because they are
on the other side of a computer. The attitudes and comments made would cause
fistfights if said in public. Blessings to all of you pleasant people who are
more concerned with our friends and pets.

Galileo, the conure manages to defend himself quite well. The cats try to
get him inside his cage and he comes away with fur and cat flesh....

Ginger chases and plays and gets chased by any of three of the cats. I am
afraid I've allowed species confusion, I'm not sure that Ginger knows that
she's a dog and the indoor cats are cats. She chases and barks at the cats she
sees through the front screen door and defends valiantly the backyard from the
neighborhood cats who show the temerity to enter her domain ;)

I've forgotten to show you all the last member of my menagery, Seth. Seth is
17 months old. Five weeks ago his mother called and said she could not take
care of him and her mother and I needed to come get her. She then took off
and has now not been heard from for a week. I and her mother start custody
proceedings today. I look daily to the Goddess that she grant me the patience
that I crave. he's a good kid, I have his social security card and his
immunization card. I await permission from Imperial County Child Protective
Services
to get him seen by doctors and his immunizations up to date. Imp Co CPS has
told us that we have a better than good chance to get legal custody.

He loves Ginger and is learning to be gentle with Blaze and Annubis. He
found out the hard way that they both have sharp claws. Seth is smart, that
lesson was learned after only one testing. Twisty and Cleopatra won't get near
him
yet, he is just too odd still, and I am concerned he is not aware that he
could hurt the kittens. We spent several hours in the front yard yesterday. He
wandered around in the knnedeep grass as I tended my grapevines. My two
ravens landed on the fence and watched. I took this a sign of acceptance of a
new
member of my menagery.

Blessed Be, John
