You need a crate until he is fully housebroken. A crate will become his den even as he gets older...a place he will choose to retreat to if he needs to get away from it all, but for now, it will serve as a place to confine him till he is housebroken and trustworthy :-) A bathroom really is too big because it gives to much room to potty on one side and sleep on the other :-)With a crate, he is less likely to mess it, speeding up housebreaking, plus no chance of getting into cleaning supplies, ect once he learns to open cabinets..not to mention no chewing on cabinets, lol. With mine, once they get older I leave the door to the crate open and often they choose to go there. My Honey, gone to the bridge, would refuse to sleep anywhere except his crate and would open the door himself to go in, lol. Marsha
