I read in Dog Fancy magazine about an owner having the same problem with their dog and they fed their dog a piece of pineapple because it was eating poop and after the dog ate the pineapple and then ate the poop the poop tasted awful to the dog and it broke the dog's habit of eating poop. The article is in this month's issue of Dog Fancy magazine.

To: "Chihuahuas" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 11:19 AM Gizmo (8 months old) is pee pad trained and he has started eating his poop, yuck! When I have to leave him to go to work for a couple of hours (4 hours at the most), I leave him in his x-pen in the kitchen with bed, toys, water and pee pad. I know he has been eating his poop because I can see a little bit of it on the paper but no poopie to clean up! I have heard of dogs doing this before. What can I do to break him of this yucky habit? Any ideas would be very helpful. Stefanie
