Tia is kinda shy but travels well.. I just have to tell people to please not
touch her.. She doesn't care for it. But I agree a more outgoing puppy would
probably be better. But then Tia is one heck of a cuddle bum.. Lol..

IMO, it might be better to choose an adult Chi or at least an older puppy so
that you can know what their personality and temperament are like. If you
choose a young puppy, make sure you meet the parents of the pup and see how
the puppy was raised (and socialized). If there are a few to choose from
with different personalities, try choosing the one that is outgoing and
likes people. A shy pup might not be a good choice for someone who is
planning on traveling with the dog and taking it lots of places.

My Chi, Gizmo is kind of shy with strangers. He tends to bark at them and
not trust them. He was a shy puppy, though and just has that personality.
I did socialize him with lots of different people but he is still somewhat
distrusting of people he does not know. I am sure that there are others who
have more outgoing Chihuahuas that might be able to give you advise, too.

Thanks for allowing my questions! Yis

(depending on their personality and how they are raised). They are small
enough, that's for sure. Every breed has their pros and cons, though. I
would research the breed and find out as much as you can about them before
you make the decision. This list is a great place to start as we have
wonderful Chi lovers here that, I am sure will be happy to try to answer any
questions you may have about the Chihuahua breed!! Ask away!
