My Chi is a male but I do have an intact female Aussie Shepherd.  Sometimes
when she goes into heat, she gets real lethargic and acts a little sick, too.
I think it's kinda like human females when we have our time of the month.  You
know, cramps, tiredness, etc.

Your Chi might not feel very well for a few days.  She also might not like the
Diapers on her.  The first time I put a collar on my Chi, Gizmo, he just laid
there all patetic looking like he couldn't move.  He didn't like it at first
and acted like he was very sad to have it on him.  Chihuahuas are a very
dramatic breed sometimes so maybe your girl is just telling you she is not
happy at the moment.  I wouldn't worry too much unless it persists for couple
of days.  Then you might want to contact your vet just in case.

I have a 8 month old chihuahua and its my first one...Plus its my first
female, she just started going into heat for the first time in the
middle of last week so I went out and got newborn swaddlers daipers for
her and cut holes in them for the tail...Tonight she seems a little
down like she might be sick or something... I was wondering if all
chihuahuas act like this when they go in heat or is something just
might be wrong with my little girl....Please help me out...U guys
always do when I have a questions so Im very gald I have u guys to turn
to anytime of the day.....
