first heat is really too young to breed, and she is pretty small
if she is spayed before first heat risk of mammary tumors drops below 5%,
goes up to 25% with one heat, and higher with each  heat
and 50% of mammary tumors are malignant
weight gain sometimes occurs but can be controlled with diet and exercise
