I worried about that too at first and that she might suffocate under the covers too. (The latter was my biggest concern and worry.) Then when she started burrowing on her own without me lifting the covers while I was asleep and I'd wake up and realize she was there I figured she was going to do it whether or not I helped her. LOL If I have to stir or shift positions because of my FMS & RA she wakes up and automatically adjusts to a different position or comes out from under the covers and lays on top of them against me.

ROFL I love when she sleeps with me at night. Gypsy too lays down beside me putting her head on my hip and likes me to lay my hand over her. My favorite times are when it's a chilly night. If I'm still awake she lets me know to lift to covers so she can snuggle warmly against me. If I've fallen asleep she'll burrow under the covers herself and snuggle up. But she has this strange habit... when she crawls under the covers she'll stand beside me for a moment and gently paw repeatedly (with both paws) at my tummy or hip like she's fluffing a pillow.
