Natural diets include contents of the prey's stomach which are digested vegetables so make sure the vegies are cooked. I give baked or boiled sweet potatoes and a little bit of a green I am eating (kale, broccoli, chard). I switch around from chicken to beef to turkey just to keep it interesting. I freeze little patties nice and flat and toss them in a pan with a bit of water. My vet says its ok not to cook too much but I'm not down with raw yet. Just not convinced even though I see it does some dogs good. I also make a whole chicken (if they're on sale) I never season anything even if I am having some later as I can add to it then. Their favorite way chicken is the easiest for me. The slow cooked one. I've attached the recipe but for them I leave out the onions and celery and instead toss in a few baby carrots. It seems if carrot is all I give them as a veg they get bound so I limit the carrots but they LOVE them cooked or raw.
