Hi everyone. I just wanted to tell you all thank you very much for your kind
words...thoughts and prayers...PLEASE don't stop the prayers! As a lot of
you know...we're having a very difficult time right now. A lot of you have
written messages to me and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I
value my "friends" on here more than you will ever know...you all mean the
world to me. And what can I say about all the pictures of the BEAUTIFUL
Chihuahuas and other pets that we share here...I love them all! I just
wanted to thank you all for your support...but I wanted to let you know that
I have to delete a lot of things without responding to them...I HATE to do
that but I have over 1900 messages! I will not delete the pictures though
<http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=_undefined> Puppy 1 My sister got a
monitor for me off of freecycle....I'm so glad..we met the people about half
an hour from where we live. I'm so grateful! That was very nice of them to
just give it to us. Dave is going to talk to the "Big Boss" at work
tomorrow...and we're really hoping he can go back to work instead of being
laid off...it's a LONG story...so I won't get into it now...but I sure hope
he can continue to work. We know of people who have filed unemployment
claims and still haven't received a check after a month! There's no way we
can go that long with an income....I've contacted the Humane Society that
I've been volunteering for ...for going on 14 years...and they're going to
give me some cat food...and dog food....but the cats eat way more that the
dogs...ANYWAY~~~The new year is almost here...we're spending it with my
parents....our youngest son and his girlfriend. Nothing big...every year for
as long as I can remember my family has always has sauerkraut...some kind of
pork...and hot dogs...sausages .... mashed potatoes....whatever people
wanted...so that's what we're doing tomorrow night...and of course we'll
watch the ball drop. So....again THIS year....we're hoping for the best and
trying to stay positive...and see what happens. I was very depressed the
other day when I wrote that email...but as a lot of you know...life can be
really hard sometimes...not just for me...but for EVERYONE! I know a lot of
you have lost loved ones this year just like us...and a lot have lost your
beloved pets.....my heart goes out to all...believe me...I'm hurting with
you...I just hope the we ALL have a better new year! My dad is still
improving...doing great...and to me that was the BEST Christmas present I
could ever have! Also my daughter and grand daughter are also doing
great...I'm so thankful for all three of them...and the health of the rest
of the family. And when The Humane Society told me they could give me some
cat food tonight...I almost cried.I know a lot of the people who volunteer
there...I've fostered for them over the years...stored things....did
transport...picked thing up...dropped thing off...but mainly I handle the
phones and have garage sales for them. Our president had a stroke about 6-8
weeks ago...I found out tonight that she's coming home from the nursing home
where she was recovering on Friday. She's doing very good! I have NEVER seen
a person so dedicated to the animals like she is...such a great ...sweet
person. I've learned a lot from her. Well...I just wanted to give you guys
an update...and I'll be writing more soon~~~Sharon

PS~~~If anyone is going out for New Years~~~PLEASE be careful!
