I totally agree. If you get two powerful breeds together that can spell
"trouble",
unless they are highly trained. I know a Pit Bull name "Lola" that got her CD
(Companion
Dog) title. Folks would cringe when she entered the ring - but those who knew
Lola, she was
very, very sweet and got along with other dogs and cats, of course people too...

Folks that own these dogs have to be responsible - (there are many folks that
are NOT)
We have an Akita and they are prone to severe aggression - I knew this before
we agreed to be owners of "Kendo" - Most home insurance companies will NOT even
cover these breeds due to their tendencies.

I am also glad the little girl and her Beagle are alright!

I have Friends with Pit bulls There are friendly.People have to understand that
you need to know were they were breed. If you breed 2 aggressive dogs, you will
most likely have a aggressive gene and to have to be careful with the
puppy's.It was the same when everybody was saying this thinks about
Rottweilers. After all the backyard breeding was over with them it
stoped.Because a good breeder will not breed an aggressive Dog.I never did and
my Grandad never did and hi was a breeder for 40 years. It is the same with all
breeds.I do hope and pray that some one is going to punish the kids that sick
the dog on the poor beagle. And that little girl needs a medal for standing up
to the Pitt to protected her.If she was my child I kiss her first and tell her
what a good job she done. And than tell her never again to do so the dog could
have killed her.I am happy that they a both alright.
God is never deaf to his children's cries for help.
Have a blessed and happy New Year.

I feel the same way...about most pits. Like I said...we have a friend whos pit
bull bit at least 4 people that I know of...unprovoked. He almost killed the
one guy. And he was NEVER abused....I used to dog sit for him. The pit that
attacked the Beagle....I know nothing about....except this dog was on a porch
just sitting there until those stupid kids told him to attack the Beagle....it
might not have attacked her if they didn't do that. I also know of pits that
have never bit anyone their entire lives.....and were good with kids...babies
and other dogs. They REALLY need to crack down on people who sic any breed of
dog on any other living thing...and these idiots that fight dogs....need to be
thrown to the dogs~~~~they' re just stupid.

You are absolutely correct, Donna! It all depends on the handler and the
treatment and training ANY dog is given! The boys and their parents should be
held responsible!Elizabeth--- On Tue, 1/6/09, Donna Fosnight <dfosnight1031@

Pit bulls really get a bad reputation because of their owners. I have friends
who have a pit bull and he is nothing but a big baby. The problem has been
with some owners and how they treat their dogs and how they train and breed
them. It is ashame that a dog may have to be put asleep because those two boys
turned that dog into an attack dog and cannot be retrained.. Thank God that the
dog that was attacked is alright and that the bull dog did not attack the
little girl.
