So now she is on Innova and so far so good. I had to take her in the shower with me every day to wash her area and press very softly on the area to exspell the tar like substance. It hurt her a little but I was very gentle not to hurt her. It was pretty gross but I had to do it. SHe still has a scar from it. It burst through her anus so she had two holes. It is healed now. Poor thing. I just kept it clean and made sure that she kept up on the antibiotics and she is really good now. It started on one side then went to the other. The vet didn't seem too worried about it and certainly didn't make is sound like she would die from it. I definatly think you dog should see a vet asap though. It was bad for about 2 weeks or so. The vet gave her antibiotics for 2 goes before it went away. He said if it didn't go away, he woul give her laser surgery to remove the glands. This was about 6 months ago and it never came back.
