It sounds to me as if his knee cap slipped out of place. A very similar
situation happened to my Pita, she ended up needing knee surgery because it
kept slipping out of place. However, she is fine now. I hope Jimmy feels
better soon. - em :-)

Subject: [Chihuahuas] jimmys hurt

we were getting ready for bed. the dogs were around us. i was on the
computer. last minute email. when we heard jimmy yip we looked at him
and he was holding his hind leg out straight... he limped a few steps
to his bed and laid down . Jimmy is very dramatic when he is hurt and
you have to be careful not to work him up and not to get bit. So i
finally told my husband who was petting him and trying to check out
his leg to leave him alone for a minute. we did and hi finally bent
it and then got up and put weight on it. he is not putting a lot of
wight on it. my husband touched all over and did not get a respond.
My question is what do you think he did. were waiting to go to bed
to see if he is ok. he sleeps in bed with us. this has been a very
bad day the neighbors house was on fire. the drug store messed up my
prescription. my daughter lost her brakes. im a little emotional
right now.
