Twice my adult, male Chi has developed a good-sized hard lump on the back of
his neck. I guess you could say it was between his shoulder blades or close.
Both times it was a result of a shot given by a vet. The second year it was
even bigger. That year there was no rabies shot - just the annual shot. It
never hurt him, and he never acted anything but himself, but it took nearly a
month to completely disappear. It scared me both times. My NEW vet skipped
his annual shot and will do it every other year instead of every year because
of his reaction. The rabies shot much be given as per state law which luckily
isn't an annual shot.

I just wanted to add my experience in case anyone else should have this happen
to their Chi after shots.
