Hi Darcy,
I have been doing a lot of reading since our discussion about Pancreatis and I
found some interesting studies. The Pancreas' main job is to produce
insulin...and the pancreas is GREATLY affected by sugar. They are now saying
that fat is not the issue with pacreatis...more the main culprit they are
discovering is Lactose...which is basically a sugar obviously found in cows
milk..ie cheese...which would make so much sense in your case! The cheese was
blamed previously but for it's fat content and come to discover it is the
lactose found within the cheese...ie sugar! Thats why so many nutrisionists are
against dairy in any form for our dogs! Also a neat side note...both sheep and
goats milk do NOT contain lactose...so we can feed goats milk if we wanted to
and it wouldn't cause the pancreatic issues!! I found this amazing and really
went far to prove to me yet again why I will never go back to kibbles...lots of
sugars hidden in there!!! VERRRRY INTERESTING!!! Thought you might find it fun
to research too!
 Hugs In Him,
Deanna
