A new baby came to the Corey house today!!! a 9 week old female Boston terrier puppy! We are very good friends with some people that breed Bostons and I have always wanted one...but their little sweeties are champions and so the price tag for one of their pups is way over $2000...not in my price range! Well last night late I got a call from Ron...the man we have been friends with for over 25 years that raises the Bostons and he said he had a proposition for me. His wife loves quilts and he wanted to know if I would make her a quilt in exchange for a pup. This was so out of the blue but I was so excited...but I just knew my hubby would have a cow! I told him I would have to talk to Mark about it first as I knew Mark was hoping Myrtle would be our last edition. Well...not only didn't he have a cow...he was excited too!! He knows that Bostons are what I grew up with and how much I have always wanted one...so early this morning off he took me out to the high desert to pick up our new child!!! I had my pick out of 9...and I picked the one that just stole my heart!!! We have named her Mable. Her parents are about the size of Shuai-Li and Nugget...between 13-17 lbs is what she will most likely weigh. She has the softest fur ever!!! and a deep rich black and adorable little face. It has been a long day...she had her first raw meal and is now sawing logs in her little pink bed. I will get pics tomorrow as we are all so tired but I just had to let you all know that more JOY has come to the Corey house!!!! But...this will be our last...really...I mean it!!!
