Crosspost on networking pages and please hang up the attached flier at vet clinics and businesses throughout Santa Fe. We want to find Cadbury a real home and we need to make the message clear that animal theft is not to be tolerated. Yesterday at the pet adoption event at the Auto Park in Santa Fe, a puppy was stolen by a woman and small child. This has never happened in the years that our organization has been traveling around the state doing special events. The woman asked if she could take the puppy into the shade, and tragically, she never came back. Cadbury had just recovered from parvo and will be shedding the virus for some time, meaning that he is potentially spreading the disease even though he appears well. He is 10 weeks old, microchipped and neutered. He does not yet have all of his shots. This puppy can be returned to any vet clinic in Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, or the Espanola Valley Humane Society's drop box with no questions asked. He is a chihuahua mix, mostly black, with a white chest and some tan points. He has a slight white blaze on his forehead and tan "eyebrows." You can also call (505) 470-1278 at any time of day or night with anonymous tips. If you work in a vet clinic and see a dog with this description, please scan him- his microchip is through 24Hour Pet Watch and he has been reported as stolen.
