You sound like a very nice and loving person and want the best for your puppy!
I thinking your girls will adjust fine may take a little... Maybe go  and
visit the puppy before bringing her home and bring a blanet or something you
can put her sent on.... And get your older girl use to the puppies sent!

Hi, yes I am picking her up they live about 90 miles away and no she is not
sick at all quite the opossite, a little fatty  that eats well, already
uses her potty pads, comes to her name. I would never do anything that would
harm her, but I have enough experience to raise a 8 week old healthy puppy and
I want her to get use to us and her new sister.
Thanks everyone :)

Hi Joyce,
I believe Nancy was saying that the breeder was changing her mind because she
wanted the "mom" to teach the pup more...an only pup. Also I do believe the pup
is not being shipped but rather picked up. No mention...if I remember
correctly...of the pup being "off" or sick or not doing well.  I agree
with you totally about not letting a pup thats not in great condition "leave
the nest" so to speak LOL!

I do understand the excitement of getting a new baby...But I do ship a lot and
if a pup isn't ready to my liking at 8 weeks I will hold off on sending as
well..I much rather have a happy healthy puppy arrive then one who is going to
be sick right off the bat...I am sure you nor the breeder would want that
regardless of the amount paid no $$ will bring them back if something was to
happen...JMO

Hi my friend!
I personally would call her and share with her just what you did with us. 8
weeks is more than old enough to come home!!!!! And I would also mention
to her you paid $850 for her sister so you imagined a great deal meant less!
Just be sweet when you say it!!! It sounds to me like she is taking advantage
of you because she knows you are in love already. In this market I don't know
too many breeders here in CA getting $1000 for pups! Even champion lines...more
like $600. Let her know of the arrangements you made and see if she will
re-consider!!!! Just my 2 cents!!! Be strong my little Buckaroo---and say what
needs to be said...in kindness!!!

Yes that is so true. Today is the 1st year anniversary of the loss of my little
Sami and it has been a tough day for me. Because my baby died in my arms, I
have not been comfortable leaving her with anyone since I have gotten her. I
have only left her maybe twice and its been only for a very short time. Since I
am considered by ADA as permanently disabled Abbey has been able to become a
registered service/companion dog. Tonight I had to go to a retirement dinner
for a lady that I worked with for over 20 years and I left Abbey with my
neighbor who Abbey loves. I was only gone 2 hours but when I got home and she
saw me you would of thought she won a million dollars, she ran up to me and
kissed and kissed me and she was so happy to see her mommy. I don't think
anyone loves me like she does. As you all know I am getting Abbey's bological
sister who was born on Aug 30 - she is a singleton (only puppy) and is doing
great, already using the potty pads. But
she has no one to play with, the breeder brought in one of her smaller younger
pups and Maggie wanted to play but the other Chi wanted nothing to do with her.
Linda, the breeder told me several weeks ago that I could have Maggie at 8
weeks old. I have been marking the calendar and tonight when I got home she
said she changed her mind, as they do better being with their moms longer so
they can teach them things. Well I agree if there are others in the pack but
since she is the only one I do not know what the mother can teach her. I am
devestated as I have had so much sadness lately that I have been so looking
forward to getting her marking off the days. Plus since she lives over two
hours away I had to arrange for someone to drive me there and my daughter could
do it that day as its the weekend and she does not have her day care kids. I am
so upset and feel betrayed. When Maggie was born and she contacted me she aslo
said she would give me a GREAT deal.
But it took her for ever to tell me what the GREAT  deal was. I thought
since I paid 850.00 for Abbey and they are from the same parents that it would
be an amount that is less than 850 but the deal was 1,000! I did not say
anything because I have fallen in love with her. But they are always saying how
much they are enjoying her and how much she loves them. I sent her 500.00
already and now I am wondering what to do. I think that she should of not said
that to me and gotten my heart all excited and then change her mind. Does
anyone have any advice. I have been crying all day long, first because of
missing my little boy and now because of this. I do not know what to do?
Please hlep.
Love Nancy and Abbey

I was wondering if it was normal for chihuauas to be a kinda jealous? Like when
I am playing with my sisters dog or paying attention to him she's all over
me... We are pretty much in seperable anyway. I think it's cute but how do I
make sure it doesn't turn in to a bad thing! I mean I spoil her bit with limits
