Well, my daughter and I took P & P in to get fixed on Friday.
Everything went fine! Paco has to wear a cone for the next week or so,
which he's trying to get used to. I was surprised that they could be
fixed at 12 weeks, but I went ahead and did it, hoping it will help
with Pixie's aggression and catch Paco before he starts marking. Has
anyone else fixed their chis this early? Also, I was reading on
options for dog litter because it is so expensive at Petco. Well, a
lot of sites recommended using wood pellets that you can get at Home
Depot for $5 a 40 lb bag. Do you think this is a good option? Also,
I'm thinking of putting in a doggie door to our covered steps/landing,
putting the litter box outside, and then connecting a large crate or
fencing the area in, so they can transition to going potty outside but
still be safe. Any thoughts on this? (Do you think they will rebel
against going outside?) I guess I have one last question....when the
family was away, I tried letting the puppies hang out with me in the
living room. One of them, I think Paco, immediately pooped on the
carpet. What was surprising to me is, I take them for two walks a day
and give them a chance to potty outside, but they won't do it! So I
wonder why they would immediately use the carpet? I guess they just
liked it better than the grass?
