mine has had one bath in 5 months,.....and she doesnt smell!...i brush daily.
and feed raw. here is a theory... the skin is an organ that excreats toxins,
perhaps raw dogs with no to minimal vaccines have way less toxic excreations!
sounds possible to me...=)~...

I bath mine as much as weekly; never had a skin, itchy or balding issues. I
have 3 LC, and they all have beautiful coats and skin. ( and I never use
conditioner)
Could be a feeding or
Product problem. Which every it might be, good luck!

bathing that often is bad....soap is drying and itchy. water is drying... ever
notice how you need lotion after your showers? stripping the oils weekly is
very bad for skin... maybe just use a wipe with only water when she gets into
stuff... let her natural oils soften her dry itchy skin...then address her from
the inside... all your crew will benefit from that.

Ah she sounds it. I have a similar situation, spoiling my babies. Trouble is I
have ten of those little cuties. We also have a Gracie, Princess Grace Patricia
Kelly! She is into things too. Must be the name. The two girls that have the
itching and chewing at the base of the tail are both fawn colored and have a
thincker coat. I do have a Blue Merle that tend to chew and scratch but doesn't
get any bald spots.

I really don't know what to tell you. Have you tried anything other than baby
oils and lotions. Sometimes the perfumes used in human products can bother
dogs. My good friend is a vet tech and I will see what she might suggest and
get back to you.

You might just need to see the vet.
