I would check for health issues. I know that sometimes our hearts go out to those with health issues and some of us are better than others in dealing with them, but I really would consider the condition of the dog and the cost to get it well and to keep it well. Also a lot of times from shelters there not all owner surrenders some may be from Mills...So the adults are more stand offish and will take lot's of love and time and I do mean time many think a month is long enough...And it's not...even though there life may have been a bad one it's all they knew and living life in a home is more stressful then being in a cage...Lot's of patience is must..I know when I have adults to re-home I like to do it before they get to old it's not fair to them they grieve like we do for there owners...
