They should not unless the gene is present in past lineage -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of jacehomeart Sent: Thursday, November 04, 2010 8:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: Hi to all you Chi owners
I've read they are the same - just a varioation - does that mean they can drop up in any litter? --- In [email protected], Peggy & The Girls <phr...@...> wrote: > > So how do you produce a true long hair? Some Chis have folded ears...it doesn't mean they are mixed breed but it could. Merles are an allowed color, but there are some who don't think merles are pure bred. I have heard that merles should be out crossed meaning that you should not breed a merle to a merle because that can lead to some issues, but I do not breed merle so other would have better information on that. This is a great group of people with tons of knowledge. If you have any other questions before or after you find your new best friend this is a great forum to ask on. Good luck with your search. > > > > > "Whether or not it is clear to you, the world is unfolding as it should." > -Desiderata > > Christy Sylvest > cann...@... > > > > > > To: [email protected] > > From: jacehome...@... > > Date: Wed, 3 Nov 2010 19:03:12 +0000 > > Subject: [Chihuahuas] Hi to all you Chi owners > > > > Hi - I'm Jacqueline > > I just joined this group and am currently looking around to adopt a female Chi. We live in an apt and have always loved dogs. Currently we are looking at re-homed dogs as we want a mature dog. Wish us luck. > > > > I already have a few questions. When I read about Chihuahuas they never say they have folded ears - but I see a lot of them - are they mixed breeds? I also have seen Merle dogs - in Dashounds they are not allowed due to health issues - is this also something to avoid? > > > > If you have tips about looking for a dog or anything we need to know about Chihuahuas that we haven't read about - please share. > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > " Lets talk about our wonderful little f riends! > > Join today!
