Me too if I did not talk to my babies I might forget how to talk - when you
live alone they are your whole life and I do not care what anyone thinks - they
make me happy and give me a reason to be happy and help me so much with my
illness. You know what my Abbey knows what I am saying to her, I can tell her
that someone that she loves like my neighbor Denise is coming over and she runs
to the door and start crying because she is so happy. When we get in the car I
always tell her where we are going and if its someone that she loves she starts
getting all excited. They are my babies and they are here for me in the middle
of the night when I am in pain and feel so alone. In the morning they both wait
for me to open my eyes and them I am smothered with kisses. They say a dog can
learn 200 words and I believe it - they are way smarter than most people
realize. When Abbey sees me putting on my make up and doing my hair - I have a
dog purse and she jumps in it
waiting for me to get finished.
I am so tired of people telling me I need to met a nice man to share my life
with - well done that had my heart broken and just do not want to do that
again. Then I would have to get a big man bed for the floor so he would have a
place to sleep! Too much work :)

Hi Amanda

I thought I was the only one that carried on a conversation with my chi
Ricky...LOL. I too talk to him all the time. When I take him outside, I have to
carry him down the stairs. All the way I am talking to him... if its cold or
warm, or what ever... my neighbors must think I am nuts!  Our pets keep us
sane, and they loves us no matter what we do, say or what we look like.

I have days where I am feeling kinda out of it, but some good old love from
Ricky... and it makes me smile and brings me back to life. I am sure this is
what your babies do to you.

all will be ok. Please dont leave this group. We all support each other in our
down time & up times.  You have friends here... write what ever is on your
mind... it always will make you feel better to get things off your chest or out
in the open. We are here for you and to listen and help. send pic too!!

Shanna

I mean Ive had to participate. My six chi babies are my life and Ive been
trying to keep things normal for them. Luckily he wasnt very close to them so
they are not too depressed. I know they miss him though and they search the
house for him and his cat and foxhound, which he took with him. He always said
those little ankle biters were all mine. So I bake dog biscuits and watch tv
with them. I play games and give baths. I dress them up and I talk to them
constantly. I tell them what Im making for dinner, where I have to go, when I
will be back, what I need to do. I read aloud to them anything from Dr Seuss to
Harry Potter. I knit scarves and quilt as we watch tv and I try to stay busy.
They cant afford for me to break down. And I truly didnt mean to.

Honey, its okay you did not mean any harm. We do not want you to leave the
group you need your friends now more than ever. My husband did the exact same
thing to me 20 years ago and I can feel your pain. The worst thing that you can
do is isolate from your friends. It was just an honest error and you just
wanted to share how much one dog looked like the other. Please do not leave and
forgive yourself - this is not a time that you should be beating yourself up. I
think its amazing that you are even able to particpate with everything that
happened to you.
BIG Hugs

Im sorry Deanna I've been trying to find some joy in life around me and I get
careless. I never wanted to tell but Ive been slipping up and I truly
apologize. After six years of marriage my husband left me two months ago and
moved in with my "best friend". I try not to spill everything about my personal
life. I truly apologize and I will stay silent until I manage to get past this
rough spot in my life. I will send out my packages on the fifteenth and then
take a hiatus for awhile. I never meant to spoil things for others. I guess I
wasn't thinking. Please forgive me. And I hope that at some point in the future
I will be welcomed back to the group. May all of you have a good thanksgiving
and christmas season. May the new year bless you all. And may you all know
love. Bless you all and again I am truly sorry.

Was getting packages ready for the chi exchange. One of my partners is Miguel.
I was trying to picture his coloring and saw a picture of him with Tia  and Isi
and I froze. OMG! He is a dead ringer for my mom's chi baby Fudge! I mean
identical almost! I could have sworn that it WAS Fudge! Even my mom thought it
was him at first and asked when I had took that picture and who were the other
dogs. Talk about wierd! They say everyone has a twin. Guess that's true! Here's
Fudge.
